ABOUT

JACK DOSSEY JR.

THE STANDARD. THE LEGACY. THE COMBACK.

Jack Dossey Jr. isn’t just a name at the Indianapolis Speedrome—he’s a cornerstone of its history. A second-generation racer who turned passion into dominance, Jack Jr. built a career defined by toughness, adaptability, and an unmatched will to win. From Late Models to the chaos of Figure 8 racing, he didn’t just compete—he set the bar.
Over decades behind the wheel, Jack Jr. racked up countless victories and championships, including a record six wins in the World Figure-8 Championship 3-Hour Endurance Race and seven Late Model track championships. But what truly separated him was his mindset. While others survived endurance races, Jack attacked them—flat out, every lap—changing the way drivers approached the sport.
Off the track, Jack Jr. is just as impactful. A family man at his core, he’s spent years mentoring, wrenching, and passing down knowledge that can’t be taught—only lived. His leadership has shaped not only his own team, but countless drivers who’ve looked to him as an example of what it means to race the right way: hard, smart, and with respect for the craft.
After stepping away from full-time competition, Jack never left the sport. And now, in 2026, he’s adding another chapter. Coming out of retirement, he’s returning to the driver’s seat to compete in select Outlaw Figure 8 events—preparing for one more shot at the 50th Annual World Figure-8 Championship 3-Hour Endurance Race.
For Jack Dossey Jr., racing has never just been about winning—it’s about legacy, grit, and proving that the fire never fades.

JACK DOSSEY III

THE NEXT GENERATION. BUILT DIFFERENT.

Racing isn’t something Jack Dossey III chose—it’s something he was born into. Growing up in the pits, surrounded by engines, late nights, and race-day intensity, JD3 developed a love for the sport long before he ever got behind the wheel. But carrying the Dossey name comes with expectations—and he’s meeting them head-on.
JD3 has carved his own path as a versatile and fearless competitor, making his mark in both dirt and asphalt racing. Whether it’s throwing a car sideways on dirt or navigating the tight, high-intensity action of short tracks, he brings a relentless, aggressive style that reflects both his upbringing and his hunger to prove himself.
In 2026, JD3 takes a major step forward—moving up into Dirt Super Late Model competition, elevating his program and competing at one of the highest levels in dirt racing.
Learning directly from his father, JD3 blends old-school racing knowledge with a new-school edge. He understands the discipline, preparation, and mental toughness it takes to compete at a high level—but he’s also not afraid to push limits and make bold moves when it counts.
Off the track, JD3 represents the future of the sport—but he’s just as driven in life as he is in racing. He is married to his high school sweetheart and is a co-founder of the Ashlea Albertson Legacy Foundation, helping create opportunities for young girls pursuing motorsports. Alongside that, he plays a key role in running the family business while also in the midst of building one of his own—proving his ambition extends far beyond the track.
Grounded, driven, and deeply connected to his family’s legacy, he carries himself with the same grit and respect that defined the generation before him—while building a name that’s entirely his own.
With Jack Jr. returning to the cockpit in 2026, the Dossey name will be competing on track together once again—bringing experience and youth, legacy and ambition, side by side.
For JD3, this is more than racing. It’s about honoring where he came from—and proving where he’s going..
