Jack Dossey Motorsports is a family tradition of racing excellence built on the foundation laid by Jack Dossey Jr. As a highly respected, second-generation short-track racer, Jack Jr. was a dominant force for decades, particularly at the storied Indianapolis Speedrome.
His career was marked by an astonishing versatility, conquering multiple classes and earning countless victories and championships. His most legendary achievements came in the World Figure-8 Championship 3-Hour Endurance Race, which he won a record six times. He also holds a record seven Late Model season championships at the Indianapolis Speedrome. Jack Jr.'s revolutionary approach to endurance racing, treating it like a sprint from start to finish, changed the sport. His success and dedication to the craft paved the way for his son to continue the family name with pride and precision. Inducted into the Indianapolis Speedrome Hall of Fame in 2018, Jack Jr. remains an integral part of the team, serving as a mentor, crew member, and the driving force behind the team’s never-give-up attitude.
The Next Generation: Jack Dossey III (JD3)
Jack Dossey III (JD3) took the wheel to carry on the Dossey legacy, beginning his career at the age of seven in FasKarts. Growing up immersed in the shop and at the track, Jack III rapidly developed into a top-tier competitor, quickly earning a reputation for being fierce yet smooth behind the wheel.
His early career focused on asphalt racing, where he achieved significant national success, including winning the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship in back-to-back seasons (2017 and 2018). He gained valuable experience in upper-level stock car racing, competing in the ARCA Menards Series. Jack III's talent and approachable nature earned him the ARCA/CRA Most Popular Driver award multiple times.
In recent years, JD3 made a pivotal decision to transition to dirt track racing, embracing the technical challenge of an entirely different surface.
